About Fuse Design+Build
Hello! We’re Fuse Design+Build, a residential design studio based in Bend, Oregon. We work directly with you, the homeowner, to realize your vision with solutions tailored to your unique lifestyle. We take on projects of all sizes and styles, from traditional kitchen remodels to cutting-edge new construction.
Our process starts and ends with you. At Fuse, we’re proud of our ability to build relationships with clients, bringing you into the design team as a true partner, rather than merely a customer. We hope to deliver not only a great place to live, but also to make the journey approachable, comfortable, and enjoyable.
Our Team
Tom Carson, M. Arch
Tom has been active in the residential design and building sphere for over 40 years. Through high school and his undergraduate college years in Michigan, he cut his teeth as a crew member doing light remodeling and interior design. He moved to Oregon after graduating and continued honing his skills on larger projects and eventually getting his general contractor’s license.
His interests led him to graduate school where he earned a Masters in Architecture at the University of New Mexico. From there, integrating the design and the build became his focus and passion. From New Mexico to 12 years in the San Francisco Bay Area, Tom had the opportunity to work on many high end, complex, and wonderful residential projects as a designer and project manager for Tekton Architecture and Artisan Builders. Family and lifestyle brought Tom to Bend, where he has continued his practice for the past dozen years, founding Fuse in 2017.
Trevor Larsen
A lifelong designer and maker, Trevor is passionate about creating beautiful and user-friendly places for people to spend their lives. His expertise was developed at Cal Poly, where he earned his Bachelor of Architecture, and applied professionally designing contemporary interiors in San Francisco. Looking to balance and refine his skillset, Trevor earned a Master’s in Human-Centered Design at the University of Washington. At Fuse, he uses the latest visualization technology to include clients throughout the design process and ensure their homes are built to the highest quality.
Trevor was brought to Bend by bikes and family, and on weekends he can be found spending time with both. Whether it’s exploring new roads, relaxing by a campfire, or enjoying a great meal, Trevor’s always looking forward to his next adventure.
